Celebrate this special midwinter time through poetry and art at this festive workshop led by Jessica Potter from the Royal College of Art. Meet at Wye Village Hall before taking a walk to nearby woods and fields to gather material for the drawing workshop, inspired by an ode to winter.

We will take a short walk to gather fallen branches and foliage from nearby woods and fields to act as inspiration for our drawing.

Back at the hall, Jessica will share a winter poem, an Unfinished Ode to Mud, to set the scene for our candlelit drawing.

As well as drawing the foraged wood and foliage, you will have the opportunity to use inks and paint made out of mud, chalk and other natural materials. The use of close attention and observation will provide a framework for developing drawings that will highlight the richness of the winter landscape to mark this special midwinter time.

All ages and abilities are welcome.
