La balade d’Hardinghen: A Comic Book Adventure

Created by the Parc naturel régional des Caps et Marais d’Opale and the Communauté de Communes du Pays d’Opale as part of the Cross-Channel Geopark initiative, this comic takes you on a fascinating tour of Hardinghen’s natural, historical, and geological treasures. 

Follow Léandre and Hermine…

Follow Léandre, a grandfather who loves telling stories, and his granddaughter Hermine, who’s always up for an adventure, as they explore a 5-kilometer trail around the village. 

From winding paths and charming village lanes to rich biodiversity and amazing geological sites, what starts as a simple walk quickly becomes a journey through time for all ages. And keep an eye out as three little weasels mark the way. Think you can spot them?

This comic is perfect for kids, families, teachers, or anyone curious to learn more. It brings the region’s hidden gems to life and fits right into the Cross-Channel Geopark’s mission: making geology fun and easy to understand, while showing off the natural and cultural richness of the area—for locals and visitors alike.

Make sure to wear sturdy shoes as some parts of the trail have dirt paths that can be tricky with a stroller.
