Coldrum Long Barrow is another of the so-called ‘Medway Megaliths’ group that Kit’s Coty is a part of.
This site has been dated to 3985-3855 BC, over a thousand years older than Stonehenge!
Similarly to Kit’s Coty, Coldrum Long Barrow has been shown to be a burial chamber, and experts from the Royal College of Surgeons think that everyone buried there were very likely from the same family. Coldrum Long Barrow is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument, recognising its national importance.
