To mark European Heritage Days, take part in a workshop on local earthen plasters and help us keep this craft alive, a true part of the region’s intangible heritage.

As part of the restoration of a half-timbered, cob-built bakery, the interior and exterior plasterwork will be made using earth extracted on site. This approach is environmentally friendly, economical and traditional.

You’ll learn how to develop the recipe for these local earth plasters and find answers to all your questions:

  • What preparatory steps are needed to use earth from your own garden?
  • What are the components of a durable interior and exterior plaster?
  • How do you determine the proportions?
  • How do you adapt the recipe to the surface?
